Woodbury Hoffman DiMuzio Scholarship Fund Recipients 2015

The law firm of Hoffman DiMuzio has allocated over a quarter of a million dollars to it’s Community Service Scholarship fund. For the next decade, the Hoffman DiMuzio Community Service Scholarship Foundation will award “Gift of the Heart” scholarships to 28 students (one male and one female) graduating from every Gloucester County High School.
Each recipient shall be rewarded with a one thousand dollar scholarship for personifying the service ideals encouraged by the “Gift of the Heart” scholarship program. This week, the 2015 Hoffman DiMuzio Community Service Scholarship recipients featured are: Tori Lugiano and Justin Vera from Woodbury Jr. Senior High School.
Tori Lugiano
Tori is an energetic young woman whose dedication to her school and community is infectious. Dancing since the age of two, she has managed to combine her love of theater and dance with her compassion for her school and community.
Tori has earned over 800 Service Learning hours that range from choreographing the Junior High Drama Club, Light a Stage for Cancer Benefit, volunteering with the Walnut Street Elementary School Craft Club, Woodbury High’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service and the Gloucester County Health Department Flu Clinic.
Tori has been an active member in the Marching band for all four years of high school and was elected Drum Major during her senior year. Tori has also been a Varsity Cheerleader, involved in Interact Club, as well as Math League and Science League. Tori plans to attend the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia to major in Forensic Science. Nice work Tori!
Justin Vera
Justin is considered a leader within his school and has earned over 200 Service Learning hours. This includes serving as a counselor’s assistant at Camp YEY, a Sunday school teacher at Revival Center of Woodbury, and a student speaker at Woodbury High’s Martin Luther King Jr., Day of Service.
Justin is currently a future teacher at Evergreens Elementary School and a tutor at West End Elementary School. Over the last four years, Justin has also committed his time and talent to the homecoming committee, yearbook club, ecology club, student council, interact club, world language club, S.U.R.E. club and is also a member of the National Honor Society.
After graduation, Justin plans to attend Rutgers at New Brunswick and major in Language with a minor in Education. Thank you Justin!
